More relevantly, I’m an “advanced amateur”astrologer and tarot reader. Self-taught through countless articles, podcasts, and workshops. I went from skeptic to enthusiast because it helped me understand my experiences and became a meaningful way to connect to people (which can be tough for a Mercury in Aquarius-type IYKYK).

I’ve been reading people’s charts for about 2 years. This is not my livelihood so I’ve never required payment. However, clients have asked how they can say thank you. Cosmic Solidarity is my response to that. I’ll share with you my magical skills and resources if you give your financial resources to groups who need it.

For the astrology nerds reading this, I practice Hellenistic astrology and draw on the teachings of Chris Brennan, Diana Rose Harper, Austin Coppick, Chani Nicholas and many more. I use the whole sign house system. I don’t subscribe to the Astrological Alphabet framework. Aries ≠ the 1st house. I cannot do advanced timing techniques like zodiacal releasing, secondary progressions, or calculate Uranian midpoints.

Beyond Hellenistic mythos, I’m also studying the Tarot Yohualli Ehecatl to expand my repertoire into ancient Mexica traditions.

Philosophically, I don’t actually “believe” in astrology. Tarnas defines astrology as, “a meaningful correlation between planetary movements and human experience”. To me, this is less something to believe in, and more of a call to action to create your own meaningful correlations through an astrological language. As above so below? Yes and, so below as above.

You are not your natal chart and it is not all about you. Charts can describe your environment, the people in your life, and a lot more factors beyond your control. The more you open up, the more you have to discover.

Astrology is relative and contextual. You identify what resonates with you. You choose what to do with it. Don’t let the memes tell you who you are or what to do. You have more power over your choices than a distant planet ever will.

A good reading is collaborative. I do some star math. We unfold the story together. ChatGPT could never.

Not really. Astrology is inherently political because it was conceived of and shaped by humans living in our sociopolitical systems of power. For better or worse, all these made-up systems, beliefs, and myths have real tangible consequences. Astrologers do a disservice to the practice when we ignore the context people live in and the barriers they may face here on Earth.

E.g. Jupiter in Cancer in the 2nd house doesn’t automatically mean the querent is wealthy. In this economy? We owe each other more creative delineations.

I am not beholden to any legally binding code of ethics that requires me to be politically neutral. This is essentially an anti-fascist art project. If you’re not into it—go ask ChatGPT to read your chart.

I hear you. Giving away your info on the internet is uncomfy. Unfortunately, astrology readings require key info like birthdate, time, and location to determine your rising sign (which is essential!)

The black flag has been an anarchist symbol since the 19th century.

…and perhaps the cosmos. The 8-sided star in the middle of the black flag is a reference to the 8-sided Star card in the Smith Rider Waite Tarot. This card is associated with the sign Aquarius and the planet Uranus. Both have revolutionary, eccentric, humanitarian, and innovative qualities.

Finally, the font is Vesper Libre. Google describes it as having “a classical foundation, but with an entirely modern appearance” (kinda like Cosmic Solidarity). I don’t speak Latin but Vesper refers to Venus as an evening star and Libre is liberation and freedom, right? Most importantly, I thought the dots on the i’s looked like cute lil’ stars.
